Things to do for Nature Lovers and Outdoor Enthusiasts:

  • Listen to the loons and wolves, just kidding, there are no wolves nearby!!
  • Go out fishing – numerous freshwater fish species can be caught in this lake – fish from shore or rent a boat. Local experienced fishing guides also available
  • Bird watch – many waterfowl species and birds of prey frequent the area
  • Walk to rocky shoreline in search of fossils and other interesting rocks
  • Take a hike about the hillside where beautiful mature cedar and birch trees line the embankment
  • Take a short hike up to the scenic Lookout situated just kiddy corner to cabins
  • Sit outside at night and star gaze or admire night lights across bay from local lighthouse and small town of Manitowaning
  • Head out to local walking/hiking trails for seclusion with nature

Things to do for Couples:

  • Celebrate your time away together
  • Stay indoors and get creative
  • Take a canoe trip along shoreline of Manitowaning Bay.  Lifejackets are provided on-site
  • Pack a picnic hamper and escape – pick a spot along rocky shoreline and enjoy the sunset
  • Enjoy your cold sunset drinks at our water dock
  • Sunbathe, read a book or just relax

Things to do for Groups:

  • Meeting space available for 10-12 people max (Cabin #2) on main floor
  • Book a fishing charter with local experienced fishing guide(s)
  • Book a pontoon boating excursions – beautiful sights to be seen and enjoyed – packages available
  • Book an ATV excursion – local ATV trails abound
  • Go snowshoeing along lake or cross country skiing – contact Manitoulin Ski Club for updates on local groomed trails
  • In late January, February and March go ice fishing – lake ice gets to over 2 ft. thick – bring your auger(s)
  • Book tee-time at nearby Rainbow Ridge Golf Course or go to driving range
  • Enjoy a bonfire at the waterfront fire pit – much seating available (lg. Adirondack chairs/benches)

Things to do for Families:

  • Head outdoors and enjoy a lakefront bonfire with some weenies and marshmallows. Firewood provided for all guests on-site
  • BBQ until your bellies are content – propane provided with individual BBQ’s at each cabin
  • And for those who are more energetic take a run or bike ride towards Manitowaning where there are minor inclines or for more of a challenge head towards the Wikwemikong village for steeper inclines.  Adult-sized bikes are available on site for guests us
  • Explore what rest of Manitoulin Island has to offer – binder of informational brochures and listings available in each cabin – visit numerous galleries, unique shops, restaurants and community events
  • And if you still have some energy left after all that, feel free to clean up the entire cabin – broom, mop, pail and cleaning supplies are readily available in the washroom closet

Things to do for the Kiddies:

  • Go swimming in the crystal clear waters of Manitowaning Bay
  • Use 4-person paddleboat
  • Build sand castles at sandy beachfront – beachfront has many children’s toys to play with including buckets and shovels
  • Set up a obstacle course/relay track at beachfront
  • Race up and down resort laneway with your bikes from home
  • Play soccer, beach volleyball or street hockey – sporting activities provided on site

Things to do when you don’t want to do anything:

  • Sleep in – the place has much peace and quiet
  • Watch a movie on satellite T.V. and unwind
  • Cozy up to the fireplace inside of your cabin
  • Enjoy your private patio area situated adjacent to your cabin (Oct. – Mid-May Operable)
  • Sit and watch the gorgeous colorful sunsets over Manitowaning Bay while seated at your cabin front
  • Order in from a local restaurant – delivery available (See binder in cabin for Business pamphlets)
