THINGS TO DO WHILE STAYING AT BAYSIDE RESORT:

Sleep in – the place has much peace and quiet

*

Go out fishing (please ensure you have your fishing licences up to date and fish within your limits)

*

Take a hike about the hillside where beautiful mature cedar and birch trees line this embankment.

*

Go swimming in Manitowaning Bay - the freshwater is just steps from your cabin front.

*

Take a short hike (0.15km) up to the Lookout situated just kiddie corner to these cabins.

*

Walk the rocky shoreline looking for fossils and other interesting rocks.

*

Watch your children play throughout the property.

*

Sit and watch the gorgeous colourful sunsets over Manitowaning Bay while seated at your cabin front.

*

Sit outside at night and look up at stars and/or lights across the bay (town of Manitowaning - Lighthouse).

*

Cozy up by the fireplace inside of cabin

*

Enjoy your private patio area situated adjacent to the cabins

*

Go outside and enjoy a bonfire with some weenies and marshmallows. Wood provided on-site.

*

BBQ until your hearts and bellies are content!!

*

Watch a movie on the satellite t.v. and unwind

*

Listen to the loons and wolves, just kidding, there’s no wolves nearby!!

*


And for those who are more energetic take a run or bike ride towards Manitowaning where there are little hills or for more steep hills offering much more of a challenge may we suggest heading towards the Wikwemikong village.

And if you still have some energy left please feel free to clean up the entire cabin – broom, mop, pail and cleaning supplies are readily available in the washroom.


THINGS TO DO WHILE EXPLORING MANITOULIN ISLAND

If in the event you are visiting Manitoulin Island for the first time it is recommended that some research is done prior to your arrival on the island as there are many beautiful places to explore - each different place can easily be enjoyed on a full day trip.  A full listing of area activities, events and area businesses such as nearby restaurants, etc. will be made available within the cabin – for more detailed information see binder filled with materials gathered on Manitoulin Activities and Events.
